WORKSHOPS
Comic Book Artist for many years, I work on various albums and publishing projects, and I love sharing my passion for drawing through meetings and workshops.
I regularly lead workshops in schools, middle schools, libraries, and sometimes in companies, focusing on drawing and comic art.
These sessions are an opportunity to explore the creative process, discuss the profession, and inspire others to tell stories through images.

I also take part in numerous comic conventions and festivals across France, for book signings, live drawing sessions, and meetings with the public.
Each event is a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of drawing and comics in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere open to everyone.
I travel according to projects and requests, in accordance with the official
rates set by the Charter of Book Authors and Illustrators.

The workshops I offer are designed to introduce participants to the world behind comic creation
— from drawing to storytelling.
They are suitable for all audiences (children, teenagers, and adults) and can be adapted to any setting: schools, libraries, cultural centers, companies, or festivals.

Comics Workshops
Understanding Comics
-
What is a comic?
-
The main stages of creation: script, layout, sketching, inking, and coloring.
-
The vocabulary and language of comics: panels, pages, speech bubbles, sound effects, ellipses, rhythm…
-
The role of the artist, writer, colorist, and the other professionals involved in the publishing process.

Creating a Comic Page or a Short Comic
-
Learning the basics of page layout and storyboarding.
-
Developing characters, expressions, and poses.
-
Building a complete comic page (in a one-day workshop) or a short multi-page comic (over several sessions).
-
Work can be done individually or as a group, depending on participants’ interests and skill levels.
Discovering the Comic Artist’s Tools
-
Introduction to traditional materials (pencils, ink, markers, paper).
-
Exploring digital drawing on a graphic tablet : sketching, inking, and coloring.
-
Comparison of both approaches (traditional vs. digital), with live demonstrations if desired.
Sharing and Finding Inspiration
-
Discussion about the comic artist’s profession — daily life as an author and the creative process within a publishing house.
-
Presentation of concrete examples from my own books and collaborations.
-
An open exchange and Q&A session with participants.
Possible Formats
-
Discovery Workshop (1 to 2.5 hours) : an introduction and creation of a short comic page.
-
Full Day Workshop : producing a complete comic page — from the first idea to the final drawing.
-
Workshop Series (over several sessions): creating a short comic, with deeper work on storytelling and character development.
-
Meet & Signing Session : an opportunity to talk about the profession, possibly followed by a live drawing demonstration.
My goal is to introduce comics as a visual and narrative language, to encourage creativity, and to inspire everyone to tell their own stories through images — regardless of their drawing level.
